Using Join It

Join It ...
​... is the Pi's membership management service. Pi members establish a Join It account and use the service to manage their Pi membership.

This page will show you how to:

• Join the Pi
• Renew your Pi membership
• Make a donation to the Pi
• Change your Join It password

Using this information as a How To Guide:
​Keep this page open in one tab (or window) of your browser and open groups.io in another tab. You can then easily switch back and forth from the steps outlined below to the groups.io pages where you can see what we are talking about or follow along to accomplish what you want to do.

Join the Pi:

1. Click to go to Join It (in a new browser window).
2. If you don't want your membership to auto-renew, the default, click  Switch to one-time .
3. Complete the required fields on the left side of the page. The email address and password you provide are your credentials for your Pi Join It account.
4. We would also appreciate your mailing address and phone number.
5. ​If you would like to make an additional donation EACH YEAR (beyond the $25 annual membership fee), enter the amount of the additional annual donation. If you would like to make a one-time additional donation, do not enter it here. See "Make a donation to the Pi" below.
6. Click the green PROCEED TO PAYMENT button.
7. Provide your credit card information in the PAYMENT DETAILS area.
8. Click the green JOIN button to join the Pi and authorize the charge to your credit card.​

Renew your Pi membership:

1. Click to go to Join It (in a new browser window).
2. If there is a green YOUR MEMBERSHIP box at the right of the top banner, go to step 5, otherwise click LOG IN just after "Already a Member?" to login to your Pi Join It account.
3. Enter your Pi Join It email and click LOOKUP EMAIL. You email should be verified and displayed.
4. Enter your password and click LOG IN to go to the Join It membership information page.
5. Note your current Pi membership expiration date and, as needed, update any missing or out-of-date information.
6. If your account shows Automatic rebilling, your membership will automatically renew. You are done. 
7. Otherwise, click RENEW MEMBERSHIP to go to the renewal form.
8. Note your membership renewal information and whether your membership is one-time or set to auto-renew. Change if necessary.
9. In the Member Information section, provide the requested information.
10. Provide your credit card information in the Payment Details area.
11. If you would like to make an additional donation EACH YEAR (beyond the $25 annual membership fee). enter the amount of the additional annual donation. If you would like to make a one-time additional donation, do not enter it here. See "Make a donation to the Pi" below.
12. ​Click the green JOIN button to renew your membership for one year and authorize the charge to your credit card.

Make a donation to the Pi:

1. Click to go to Join It (in a new browser window).
2. If there is a green YOUR MEMBERSHIP box at the right of the top banner, go to step 5, otherwise click LOG IN just after "Already a Member?" to login to your Pi Join It account.
3. Enter your Pi Join It email and click LOOKUP EMAIL. You email should be verified and displayed.
4. Enter your password and click LOG IN to go to the Join It membership information page.
5. At the bottom of the Join It membership page, click MAIN PAGE.
6. On the Main Page, click DONATE.
7. Enter the amount of your one-time donation (minimum of $1).
8. Complete the Donor Information section.
9. ​Provide your credit card information in the Payment Details area.
10. Click the green DONATE button to authorize the one-time charge to your credit card.​​

Change your Join It password:

1. Click to go to Join It (in a new browser window). Click LOG IN.
2. If you are already logged in, click the green GO TO ACCOUNT button, and go to step 4.
3. If there is a Log In option and the words Get Started" in the upper right, enter your Pi Join It email and password, and click the green LOG IN button.
4. Click UPDATE PASSWORD.
5. Enter your current Join It Pi membership password and confirm it.
6. Click UPDATE PASSWORD.
