Who We Were: in 202?, the Pi launched this new website and it is our focus moving forward. However, the Pi's prior site is still operational and contains a trove of historical information. It's not the place to go for up-to-date information, but it certainly the place to go for a trip down memory lane. There are two Time Machine "tickets" below that will take you back in time. The first ticket will deposit you at the Home page for the venerable wap.org website (doing business at the same location since ????). Your journey using the second ticket will end at the door to the Pi Journals library that contains ?? years of Pi Journals, newsletters and ????. For those interested in our backstory, this is the place to visit.

[Ticket 2: Take me to the journal archives] [this will be a clickable button to the Journals at

Who We Are

Who We Are:

The Washington Apple Pi, or simply the Pi, is a community designed to improve every member’s  knowledge and enjoyment of Apple products, and to do so in a way that respects varying levels of technical expertise and comfort with technology.
We accomplish this through:
  • Regular presentations by technology subject matter experts
  • A variety of informal opportunities where members can communicate, teach and learn
  • On-going relationships with other user groups, and
  • Occasional face-to-face and virtual social activities
The Pi also looks to the future by sponsoring a student scholarship at the George Mason University in the field of Information Technology.
The Pi has been around for more than 45 years, far longer than most personal computer organizations, and many computer companies.  Pi members have years and years of experience. They understand and appreciate the history of Mac personal computing, willingly help others get the most productivity and enjoyment from their Apple products, and put the glimpses into the future of personal computing and automation technology into perspective.
