Special Interest Groups

These are informal groups formed to discuss specific topics of interest.  Any Pi member can request that a Special Interest Group be established in groups.io. In groups.io, SIGs are referred to as Subgroups. Postings for a SIG and the resultant emails are only available to the members of that SIG and are not posted to the main Pi groups.io discussion area. The Pi currently has two active SIGs:
  • Photos SIG: A gathering of Pi members interested in discussing the use of Apple Cameras, editing with the Apple Photos app, and other topics relating to digital photography.
  • Code Talk SIG: A gathering of Pi members interested in learning how to create apps using the Swift Programming Language and Xcode.  Created apps will be able to be made available for "testing" and evaluation to all interested SIG members.
Each SIG normally has a discussion leader and the groups meet periodically by Zoom call. Joining or creating a SIG is a great way to "dig deeper" into whatever area of technology might interest you or for which you have expertise you are willing to share.
