RUMP Saturdays
Every so often, a Saturday shows up on the Pi calendar with nothing scheduled. It is possible (maybe even likely) that a member will convene and host (via Zoom) a RUMP session--that is, an informal, not regularly scheduled gathering. These sessions can be great fun. There is often no agenda or even an announced topic for discussion. Members who just can't stand not having a Saturday go by without a serving of Pi will join in. Questions are posed, answers are offered, screens are shared, demos are provided. All without adult supervision. One characteristic of these meetings is that even if it seems as though no one has anything to ask or share, those in attendance will not be able to withstand 15 seconds of silence. Suddenly a helpful discussion will be kick-started and the learning will commence.
These RUMP sessions are posted to the Pi calendar (members only) and announced by specific postings on groups.io (members only) which generate emails to those choosing to receive them. Details and member access information for the RUMP meetings are in the postings and the emails.
